Microlink Systems Sdn Bhd, a leading solutions provider in Islamic Banking, today announced that it received the “Special Recognition for Outstanding Contribution to Islamic Finance Industry— IT solutions category” award from the Kuala Lumpur Islamic Finance Forum (KLIFF 2005).

The award was presented by YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Finance Ministry 11, Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

The Islamic Banking Award Presentation was jointly organized by International Institute of Islamic Finance Inc. (IIIF Inc.), Deloitte Consulting Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and CERT Event in conjunction with the 2nd Kuala Lumpur Islamic Financial Forum 2005. The award has been established with the objectives to recognize, reward and encourage activities that lead to the promoting of outstanding works and performance in the fields of Islamic banking and finance by the key players in this industry.

Commenting on the industry outlook for next year, Phong said, “We are anticipating a major revamp of Malaysia’s Islamic core-banking systems.  It is mainly driven by the lack of flexibility in the existing legacy system while the highly competitive Islamic banking market strives on.”
