In moving towards a knowledge-based economy, new activities are expected to be generated in business services, particularly ICT services such as software and content development as well as Internet-based services and e-commerce solutions. During the Ninth Malaysia Plan (2006 – 2010) period, e orts will be undertaken to further harness ICT as a new source of wealth creation and to sustain Malaysia’s position as a hub for a competitive global multimedia, shared services and outsourcing.
