Kuala Lumpur – 10 February 2020 – Microlink Group subsidiary Applied Business Systems (ABS) has received an order from Strateq Sdn Bhd for the provision of computer systems that will be deployed for the Malaysian tax authority Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri [LHDN] Malaysia. The order involves the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of hardware and software for the Hasil Integrated Tax System (HITS) operated by LHDN.

With an estimated value of RM35.7 million, the order is scheduled to run from end February 2020 for three years. ABS, an approved distributor of Oracle systems in Malaysia, will provide the Oracle Exadata Database Machine to Strateq for deployment on this landmark project for LHDN.

Mah Chon Cheang, CEO of Distribution, Microlink Group said, “This project is a great example of how we can bring the best combination of skills and systems from our portfolio to enable our partners and clients to deliver the right solutions to their own end users.” The project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the Company within the financial year ending 31 March 2020 and will continue for the duration of the contract thereafter.

Exadata can be deployed on-premise as the foundation for a private database cloud, or acquired using a subscription model and deployed in the Oracle Public Cloud/Cloud at Customer.
